The Marilyn Magaram Center for Food Science, Nutrition, and Dietetics at California State University, Northridge is dedicated to advancing health and wellness through research, education, and community programs. I joined the Center as a Marketing and Communications Assistant, where I supported digital outreach, event promotion, and multimedia content creation to help make nutrition science more accessible to the public.

My Role
Working at the Marilyn Magaram Center allowed me to combine creativity with meaningful work. I designed visual assets flyers, newsletters, social media graphics to promote campus and community health initiatives; assisted with website updates to enhance readability and user experience; managed the Center’s social media to boost engagement; edited videos and promo content for events and online outreach; and collaborated with the communications team to maintain consistent messaging across digital and print platforms.
Impact
By introducing more video-driven storytelling, I helped the Center connect with a wider audience online and make their programs more engaging to students and the local community. My work contributed to a more cohesive and modern digital presence, aligning the Center’s communication strategy with its mission to promote health and wellness.
